History
PT NUTRACO PRATAMA (Indonesia) or NUTRACO, was founded in
1955 by Mr. Hendrik Honosutomo as a general trading company
with branch offices in Surabaya and Lombok. Shortly after,
the company opened its first branch abroad, in Singapore.
This NUTRACO was one of Singapore's first Indonesian investors.
NUTRACO started by trading a variety
of commodities such as coffee, textiles and household goods.
As the company quickly prospered, it diversified. New offices
were established in various parts of Indonesia: in Bali, Kupang
and Ruteng, Flores. In the 1970's, NUTRACO began to specialize
in coffee trading and exporting.
The company grew even more rapidly during
the boom years of the 1980's. NUTRACO-Hong Kong was established
in 1986. Four year later, in 1990, NUTRACO-Thailand was launched,
a major investment with main offices installed in Bangkok
and its coffee processing and roasting plant built in Chandi,
in southern Thailand. NUTRACO-China, which is based in Beijing,
was established in 1996.
In 1990, the same year that the Thailand
office was formed, NUTRACO CHEMTRINDO was established in Jakarta,
to cater to the growing demand of imported food ingredients
business. Sales of milk powder, egg powder, and potato reached
unexpected heights.
Since the establishment of the International
Coffee Organization in 1975, NUTRACO, as a coffee exporter
has been registered in the Organization as an "approved
trader". In 1991, it started roasting its own coffee.
Thus the first of its very own brands, Caffé Flores,
was born and by 1993, NUTRACO began supplying the Indonesian
domestic market.

NUTRACO received the achievement Award for export in 1993
and 1994, respectively, from the President of Indonesia. In
1994, the company also won the National Productivity Award,
which was presented by the Vice-President of Indonesia.
NUTRACO is also a licensed distributor
of several quality coffee machines: Nuova Simonelli, Cafina,
Melitta and Saeco Royal Digital and Professional Coffee Machines.
In 1997, the company was awarded the exclusive distributorship
of Folklore Italian Gourmet Syrups.
Today
Beside trading, there are two brands under the group today;
Caffé Flores and Mister Bean Coffee.
Caffé Flores is a company dedicated
to producing gourmet coffees, using traditional Indonesian
small-batch roasting methods.

We select and buy ourselfs our beans, then roast and package
our own coffees.

Mister Bean Coffe -- the coffee expert
was incorporated in the Republic of Singapore in 1999 and
maintains its corporate headquarter there. We conduct business
under the Group. Mister Bean Coffee strives to create an atmosphere
where customers can socially interact to enhance their coffee-drinking
experience through a combination of excellent coffee beverages,
enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere, delicious cakes, sandwiches,
soups and pastries, and friendly and knowledgeable staff.
